- Recyclable
The material was tested and approved by CTP (Centre Technique du Papier) in Grenoble for recyclability according EN13430 “Requirements for packaging recoverable by material recycling”.
- Post Consumer Waste (PCW)
Our packaging contains more than 50% post-consumer waste in the base paper. Once office paper and newspaper has served its intended end use, it becomes post-consumer waste or PCW.
Materials made with PCW saves resources like trees, water, energy, and greenhouse gas emissions.
- UN Global Impact
It is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. It has two objectives: “Mainstream the ten principles in business activities around the world” and “Catalyse actions in support of broader UN goals, such as the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).
- Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF)
It is a technique that uses chlorine dioxide for the bleaching of wood pulp. It does not use elemental chlorine gas during the bleaching process and prevents the formation of dioxins and dioxin-like compounds, carcinogens.
- Green-e®
Our packaging is made with 100% certified renewable energy. It means from natural resources that replenish themselves over a period of time without depleting the Earth’s resources. These resources also have the benefit of being abundant, available in some capacity nearly everywhere, and they cause little, if any, environmental damage. Energy from the sun, wind, and thermal energy stored in the Earth’s crust are examples.
- Proposition 65
Known as the Sage Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, it protects the state’s drinking water sources from being contaminated with chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and requires businesses to inform about exposures to such chemicals.
- Pure
The material of the packaging, Ecorel® Pure Chevo, has been specially developed with a latex-free base. A new purity degree for a coated paper. It is also free of lead, chlorine, phthalates, heavy metals and PH-neutral.
The product has been manufactured using aqueous coatings and ink technology. It is non-toxic and free of ozone-depleting chemicals.
