Our Factory

Achille Pinto, the Magician

Achille Pinto is a historic textile company from Como founded in 1933, a successful Italian entrepreneurial story handed down from generation to generation.

The company was founded thanks to our founder Achile Pinto who, with his dream of opening a weaving with the same name, decided to buy three abandoned looms and put them back into use.
Over time, Achille Pinto has grown and changed specializing in the traditional ink jet and Twin printing with always an eye on the sustainability and a constant attention to the environmental, social and naturally economical issues.

The company is currently managed by the three Uliassi brothers. Lisa is the head of the style department while Matteo is the head of the accessories division and Paolo is responsible for the clothing division.

Achille Pinto has the ambition to spread its history of tradition know-how and expertise with the value of change and the strength of innovation.
All this is represented within our values that represent the company as they are; innovation, creativity, attention to people and also to the environment.

Its mission is to satisfy our customers by offering them quality products that meet the highest standards of design and quality but above all 100% made in Italy and with an eye on sustainability.

It follows a vertical and 100% Italian production process. Between the district of Como and Biella's, Achille Pinto possesses over 50 looms, over 25 digital printing machines, 3 Twin printing machines and 7 traditional printing tables.

Achille Pinto has developed its own sustainability and is always attentive to the issue of the environment and respect of people.
Recently they renewed their sustainability strategy which has been given the title Harmony 20 30.
Harmony is the concept on which Achille focuses most; harmony in thought, sustainability in action and foresight towards the future.
These are the three concepts that have guided and inspired our vision of sustainability in Achille Pinto.
Harmony is based on the concept of respect in every business choice of all those that are the main aspects of sustainability and therefore respect for the environment, respect for people and above all to have a structured and clear governance that allows the company to achieve its objectives.

Great importance is given to the use of sustainable certified products, such as GOTS, GRS, RWS and all the numerous certifications they have, but also a focus on ethical and social monitoring towards their suppliers.
Finally, an important pillar in Achille's strategy concerns innovation and attention to new topics such as circularity and networking with businesses of the district to be able to work together in building a more sustainable fashion and attentive to the needs of all.

People are the focus of our attention. In December 2023, Achile Pinto decided to certify himself on gender equality. Because well-being and equal pay for men and women must not create any kind of gap between their people.

Moreover, Achille Pinto believes in the growth of his people not only by offering training courses but also by investing in new resources and corporate figures.
In fact, we have developed the Pinto print Academy project with the aim of integrating many young people without experience into the company and training them in the field at our printing works.

The first steps of Achile Pinto in the world of sustainability have been the certifications. It started more than twenty years ago with the certification of the quality management system passing through all the process certifications and ending for product certifications such as, for Damned Heaven, the Gots certification.
The Gots certification concerns the material of natural fibers, in this case 100% organic silk.
They also offer certification on recycled product, responsible product and various types. They are based on very important concepts and values that Achille Pinto fully embrace, therefore social responsibility, respect for the environment, ethics with respect to its workers, transparency and traceability.
